As you've noticed I'm behind schedule.Thank goodness we are giving time to participate in challenges.!LOL
This week's challenge for Stamptacular Sunday is CHRISTMAS IN JULY!  Boy was that hard...I'm having a hard timing creating something meant for a cooler season when it's so hot now! ! So here goes...

Friday Sketchers..

I'm getting this in a little late but hey I did it so it's an accomplishment just for that!So this is Friday's Sketch.

Here's my take on it !...........

Here's a close up of the sand on his feet!..... I cased this idea from Cheri. I took some tiny beads and added a drop of Copic refill ink and voila.They're colored.Being my first time I shyed away fom going too dark.Wish I had.Oh well,next time.

My wish for my birthday would probably be all of the above comments and I know they say money can't buy happiness but sure could buy alot of card/scrapbooking stuff, a holiday, to be able to move closer to my daughter and grandson and all sorts of other great things. So I guess I would wish for the lottery. I would be quite happy with a million, I won't be too greedy. Thanks for a chance to win. And Happy Birthday to ya - hope you get what you wish for.

Serenity Sketch Saturday

It's Sketch Saturday time...this one was so fun and easy to play with.

Here's my take on the sketch...

I wanted to try a simple coloring image,I really only added the green and played on the black & white.I kinda like how it turned out.It was a little different in my head.Here's a close up...

I may have not used ribbon or flowers but couldn't help myself with the glitter,afterall I wanted that magical feel to her.

 So I just returned from Children's hospital for my daughter's treatment.I had made this card prior to leaving ,it was for the nurses who take care of my daughter.I cannot tell enough how great these nurses are,actually the entire hospital is phenominal.So of course I wanted to make a special card.It's an easel...so much fun!

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge #67

I'm back with another challenge....Stamptacular Sunday with this Fabo sketch!

Here's my take on it..

I used these adorable ducks from Penny Black.Too cute and so simple quick to color.!The sentiment is from Hero Arts.

I just love this Pattern Paper from Cosmo Cricket. Bright and Fun! I aslo use diamond stickles around the edges and Glossy accents on the beaks.

And can you believe it..no embellishments....brads ,ribbon, nothing!....I'm a little surprised at myself. But I like how it turned out!

Sketch Saturday Week # 111

Here's my take on the sketch...

I used  Mavis from Stamping Bella and combined her with 3Bugs in a Rug patterned paper.

Here's a close-up...

As you can see I added stickles to her bathing suit ,some glossy accents to her nose and glasses..for a final touch I added rock candy stickles for the look of sand at her feet.

So onto my project..

The stamp is from Stamping Bella,the sentiment actually has slipped my mind.But I found it fitting for this card.The patterned paper is by Sassafras..too cute.I didn't exactly stick with just 3 colors..I went for the whole shabang! It was fun!That cute little ticket you may recognize from my previous post.It's from MayaRoad added with a little red heart brad.I also used EK success punch for my border.I added some glossy dots.This is a great little project if you want that look of pearls or what have ya without adding a lot of them.Here's a close up..

I made this a couple of nights ago but a little occupied here in Canada.It was of course Canada Day and it's celebration but here in our town is the famous Williams Lake Stampede.I hadn't been to one in some time but we took in the first show last night.It was great.This continues for 4 days.
So onto my card,pretty self explanitory.I colored with copics.The paper is from Basic Grey's Oliver collection.I embossed the background with a new T!m Holtz folder.LOOOOVE IT! The sentiment is from RachelleAnne Miller.The cute little tags are from Maya Road.They were actually Kraft in color but I used distress ink to color them up.I then used black glossy accents on the collar.Although what you see is my finl results ..here is what happened when you get an air bubble!!!..........

See that nice "beauty" mark on the collar..Here's where all those fancy words came in!!LOL.Some of my stamp supplies even learned how to fly!!

So I stamped the image, colored the collar up AGAIN and paper pieced the collar on top of the old.I couldn't think of anything else to do since I had completed the card..glued and all.And I was not starting over!!

So after all that I think I'm happy with how it turned out.So I'm off again to enjoy the weekend stampeding!!
