Another Teacher card...

Yah!!It's the last day of school for my youngest.I thought I would show you the other teacher card I made.This cutie bear is so sweet.The sentiment is from Stampendous.I almost forgot I had this teacher set.The papers are from My Mind's Eye.I think I have an addiction to these papers.LOL.Don't worry I'll be OK.

Hi there.I hope the weather is treating you all well today.I know it's a hot day for us today.

I'm a little excited cause today my youngest daughter is in her first ever talent show.Now I'm nervous cause I have not been able to see or help her practice.She wants it to be a surprise.I hope to have pictures to show later..

Just cause....

Sorry I haven't posted for a few days.I was able to sit down and play with this Simply Betty Stamp.I apologize for the picture,I just couldn't get a good shot.This is the new paper line from Prima.And that hinges and bats are OLD Tim Holtz grunge board which I distressed with black soot ink and then crackle accents.

I was also able to play with the flower die..yeah!!

An apple for the Teacher

OK I just have not been paying attention to the time latley.This month has just flown right by me.I realized that I needed to get on making my teacher thank you cards.After all this week two of my daughters will be done school and my youngest daughter is done next week.So I really need to get my butt into gear. 

This stamp from High Hopes has been in my mind for awhile.It's perfect for my teacher card.I used papers from Basic Grey's Hello Luscious. I even paper pieced one the books.I added some flowers and some Maya Road chipboard mini flourishes.I inked the flourishes with Peeled Paint Distress Stains.I then spritzed them with Kiwi Perfect Pearls Mist.I am in love with these sprays!!Check out the close up.The cute little charm is from The Ribbon Girl.

Today at Craft Your Passions our theme is PAPER PIECING.

I actually love to paper piece,but I am a choosy image kinda girl.It's great to be able to,once in awhile , paper piece instead of coloring.But I do recommend a good image to work with.Tiny doesn't always make it easy.LOL

Paper piecing is fun when you get to work with papers that have a great pattern or even a great texture.

Good Morning.Hope the sun is shinning for you.As I hope it is for me.LOL.I'm on a field trip with my daughter's class of 7 year olds.We going on a nature walk etc..so if it is raining Momma is gonna be cranky.

But I do hope the sun is shinning for a particular friend today cause it's her Birthday.Today the Design Team has decided to have a blog hop for her.We are unable to celebrate with her cause she moved ,so this is the next best thing. So onto my card,I did not go the patriotic theme.Well cause I'm a Canadian girl.lol. I'm pretty sure the only colors I'm allowed to worship is Blue and Green(CANUCKS).I gotta say it's exciting but I also just want it to be over so our life can resume to normal (whatever that may be).

Sorry sidetracked...I used this cutie dragon and combined it with My Mind's Eye paper.I added some die cut stars.I used my white gel pen for all the white dots.

Whew,lately I've been making cards for DT or something rather than just for fun.So I just did that today.No reason,well except I wanted to play with this image. I sure had fun coloring up this cutie.I have a thing for bears.They are just so cute.And these images are unlike any other bear I have seen.

Now I know in the past I've said how much I despise making man cards.But I'm pleased with how this one turned out. I finally got to cut my Spellbinder Heritage dies using the pocket watch.I also used buttons but they're inside the card.I forgot to take a pic.OOPS.

I stamped on the background of the image and the strip going  across the card.I used Tim Holtz stamps ,the corner and clock.And the "dad" is Maya Road chipboard with I inked and added crackle to.

Monkey Baby

It's a busy Tuesday...double post day so keep scrolling!!

Well it seems like I have been doing a lot of baby cards lately. But mind you in my family my sister is pregnant and due in about 3 weeks.But yesterday my cousin had her babies,yep babies. She gave birth to twins,one boy Tyler 6 lbs 15 oz and one girl Taylor 5 lbs 10 oz.Pretty healthy little angels. Now the wait continues for my sister. I'm hoping she'll have a boy.lol.Hence my boy card.

This cutie is from High Hopes Rubber stamps,as is the bottle.They have this monkey as a girl as well. Maybe I'll make a girl one as well, then I'm covered. And if she gives birth to a monkey then I'm really covered.LOL.Inside joke,my sis LOVES monkeys.

Now if you saw our tutorial last week over at High Hopes Challenge.Then you saw Kristine's fab Zig Zag card.Which I had to giver a try.Well I gotta say so easy and fun.You must give it a shot ! !
