Easter Greetings

Today I bring you a card that went a lot different in my head and took me forever to create lol. I'm not completely sure with this one,still on the fence with the layout I think.Something is bugging me about it. Not entirely sure what lol. I again am trying out some pastel colors. 

I used Tilda dressed as a chick.I'm not sure of the exact name but it is older. My papers are from We R Memory Keepers,last years Easter pad. My flowers are from WOC. The die cut leaves and Banner is from Memory Box. The egg behind Tilda is from Lifestyle Crafts. I created the yellow egg from Honey Comb paper,cutting it from the die.It was originally white but I sprayed with Tattered Angels Squeezed Lemonade .I then used a sponge brush and painted the edges with Copic Opaque.In the pics you can see a closer look.I also did this with the edges of my paper.

Hi Welcome Tuesday ! Here ,we are on our last stretch of Spring Break.Gotta say Momma is ready for the kids to return lol. Today we have a tutorial over at High Hopes Challenges. Alex has created a cute scenery for a To Go Coffee Cup insert .SO adorable ! Today I made this quick and cute corner bookmark .I used this bunny called Peeking Bunny .And my papers are from Bo Bunny C'est La Vie.

Hi. Many of you may have heard or seen the news regarding the end of Google Friend Connect . What does this mean ? Now I don't understand all the mumbo jumbo of it..but I do know that that nice little gadget on the side of your blog that shows you all your friends that follow your blog...will disappear.Now for some that may not matter.The numbers weren't so much of a concern for me however I do look forward to going into my dashboard and checking out all the blogs I follow. I actually find this quite helpful for me,as I follow over 300 blogs lol. I can't remember all of your blog names lol. 

So anyways ,where I am going with this is ...there are options.After reading a few different blogs etc, I came across Krista Smith's blog as well,her option.Which I have tried and is fabulous and SUPER easy.I did panic because my computer skills are not that great lol. Now I haven't had much experience(as in time) because I just joined but so far so good.

High Hopes Challenge Dots and Stripes

Welcome back ! Today I went easy on the pics for ya. 

We have a new challenge at High Hopes Challenges

DOTS and STRIPES 

Lets see your dots and stripes.Maybe on your paper like I have done. I have used an oldie but still great image Gordon Groundhog  When I saw this sentiment stamp(D'arcies I believe ,can't remember for sure) I had to use this image for it.It just cracked me up. High Hopes has some great sentiments but it's nice to know their stamps coordinate with others as well. 

My papers are from Echo Park nicely named Dots and Stripes lol.I used some chipboard pieces for my embellishing. The banner triangle is actually painted with the new Tim Holtz distress paints (Mustard Seed) Love Love this stuff,I see a lot of painting in my future lol.

Now I have used the new sketch over at Graphicat Sketch Challenges.I did turn it a bit but you may notice my star brads went the wrong direction ..ooops.

Graphicat Sketch Challenge #24

Oh my another picture heavy post lol. We have a new sketch over at Graphicat Sketch Challenges.Boy Cheri just just keeps pumping out great sketches ! This week I wanted to play with my Lili of the Valley papers and stamps.Just in that mood lol. In case you didn't know you don't need to use a Graphicat image or sentiment to play with us.We love it when you do but love it more when you play with us !!

So like I said I used a lot of Lili of the Valley products here. Although I must say pastels are not easy to do.I love them but not sure how to keep the colors toned down lol. I hope you like.....

I love how she uses the Prima/Cosmo Cricket sticker sentis in a row to make the strips across on the layout. Her papers are from Basic Grey Serenade.

Ok be prepared this is a heavy picture post. Today I have three cards to show you. First two are baby cards and the other a retirement.  Are you sensing a theme lol.

ANYTHING GOES

 These old characters just crack me up. I'm using Loungin' Lou  and sentiment Caution 

So other details to my card... Papers are from Echo Park This & That. Wooden watch embellishment is from Prima and button from stash. As you can see this card is quite simple as it's for a man. I paper pieced the robe.Nice when you need to do an image in a hurry if you don't have time to color. I did it just cause I hadn't in a long time lol.

The inside can have any sentiment ie Birthday ,retirement etc..

Graphicat Sketch 23-Just sitting here thinking of you

It's time for a new sketch at Graphicat Sketch Challenges

Today I combined a Sugar Nellie stamp with a sentiment from Graphicat Designs stamp set called Coffee Girl. Fitting for this image eh...they all fit this image but this one was the best. My papers are from Authentique. Flowers are from WOC and the chipboard spoon and cup are from Maya road.So cute huh?? 

Now onto Courtney's project.She did a smash page of herself and sister .

She also used the same sentiment as I. The sister quotes are stickers from Bo Bunny. Not sure the papers lol.

Just for You .....

Hi there ! Sorry it's been quiet.Between having the stomach flu for almost a week and then playing catch up.I tell ya it's hard to do.But I did make this card to show you. It took me a bit to color her up.I'm not completely happy with how it turned out but I think it was time to walk away from the image lol.

I don't know what it is about cameras and reds?? They just don't pick up the color right.It'd more of a dark peachy red. and those blossoms look orange and they are more on the red side lol. And the browns ,you don;t hardly notice them so now my ribbon stands out lol .Oh well.
