Oh my a layout !! It's been sooo long since I did any scrapbooking. I have been so busy doing cards.But I was really starting to miss it. I think I need to keep alternating .I am soo far behind already on the girls scrapbook,even more since it's been hmmmf number of years since I've done a layout lol.

So a few details and some pic heavy..Papers are from Bo Bunny ...love love this line ! The snowman is a TH grunge piece with I painted with his pewter metallic stain.Oh so pretty . The snowflakes are from Pink Paislee,they have the resist on them so some I spritzed with Dylusions spray.The banner is also resist from PP.You'll see in the close up pic the resist. It works either way alone or sprayed,inked ..whatever.

Seriously Creative Challenges - All about Xmas

This month at Seriously Creative Challenges is sooo simple.I know your doing it,so we should see lots of entries ! ! It's all about Christmas...let's see those cards or decorations,even gifts.As long as it Xmas we wanna see it.

Now with all the Tim Tag Hoopla going on right now.I was getting into the mood actually before cause my hands got excited with his new distress colors.They are gorgeous.So then I started to play with his resist paper pad then his die cuts..well you see where this went.So here was my end result.A little simple but a lot of time consuming techniques!

Seriously Creative Challenges Sketch time

Hi everyone! I hope you all had fun with our last month's challenge.We've got a new one for ya.It's my favorite kind of challenge. 

SKETCH ! !

They really give you a boost in creating  a card or layout.When your stuck and just don't know where to start it's perfect.Tara created this one for us to play with.

Here is my interpretation of it. I used a High Hopes image for this sketch.It's from the new release.He's so adorable.He'll be at Creative Accents real soon! Along with many more...

I matched him up with papers from Cosmo Cricket. Stash that I hadn't used much of...not sure why cause I loved it!! I also had these Dress it up buttons from my stash.I 've had them fooorever...too perfect.

Here is my layout....

The sentiment is a Tim Holtz stamp and the charm is from Making Memories

I have used papers from Prima..love this collection.I distressed the edges of my layout but insteads of using ink I used paint dabbers.The flourish,dragonfly and title  are chipboard pieces.

I painted my chipboard and used my finger to take some "smooch" to cover it over giving it the distressed look.

As you can see I didn't have enough alphabet pieces to complete my word,so I improvised,cut out the letter E,emphasizing it,spelling my daughters name EMMA.

That's about all..I hope you can join us.It's all month long ,so you have plenty of time to join us

It's a heat wave...finally!

Boy has this summer gone by quickly.This month's challenge over at Creative Accents is

 "Use Your Stash".

How hard is that...I KNOW you have something you haven't used in a long time or even seen ink yet.LOL.

I finally got to ink up this cute House Mouse stamp.I'm sure I have the matching sentiment "You blow me away", just not sure where it is.LOL.So I used a Kraftin'Kimmie one instead. I also dragged out my Basic Grey Hello Luscious paper.I cannot believe I hadn't used this yet! I added some Prima flowers that I've had foreeeever.

I'm also entering this into the following challenges:

-Basic Grey Challenges(Anything Goes)

-Raise the Bar(Beat the Heat..use anything used to beat the heat.

They suggested ice cream,popsicle but if a fan don't beat the heat I don't know what would LOL)

Creative Accents July Challenge

Welcome to another challenge at Creative Accents Challenge. Our theme for this month is

SUMMER

 What ever makes you think of summer...so many possibilities.Today my project is a layout of my daughter with her 2nd cousins.They met at my family reunion.I just loved this picture. I realized as I made this layout that it has been a VERY long time since I scrapped.I really enjoyed it.I must get into it more.Pretty much everything in this layout you'll find at Creative Accents. 

Close up of my flowers that I spritzed with perfect pearls sunflower....As well as the Kaiser Kraft chipboard using distress stain and perfect pearls.

Creative Accents Challenge June

Today over at Creative Accents Challenge is a great one.Our fab DT Cheri has created a fabulous sketch for us.We also added a theme,masculine.Yes I know some of you struggle with the "Man" thing. I know I do lol. But we gotta do them ! !

So I played with a stamp from Stampavie called Little Rascals.I also used BG's Marjolane papers. I love the greens and blues for manly colors.Now its hard to come up with embellies that aren't flowers or bling,but I think buttons are the perfect touch.

Hello my Cyber peeps ! ! Hope your enjoying your day! ! Whooo Hoo!!It's Friday and for us here in Canada all long weekend ! It looks like the weather is gonna be nice for us as well ! !

So being it's so beautiful out , I wanted to show you a wedding card. I made this card layout quite simple.I just wanted the elegant look. Creative Accents(LSS) received some beautiful papers from Making Memories.These are suited for wedding ,anniversary, or even antique layouts.

I also wanted to remind you of Creative Accents Challenge.You still have time to enter.Being the theme is celebration,it's so easy ! ! There are so many occasions to suit right now.Father's day coming up or maybe you know of someone having a baby or even graduating.

Now I finally got to play with Tim Holtz's new distress stains and Ranger's Perfect Pearls.I used it on this flower.LOOOOVE this effect.I also got to play with some glass glitter from Melissa Frances.I used it on the leaf I die cut out.So pretty eh??

It's party time at Creative Accents

Well I hope you enjoyed our last challenge at Creative Accents.We've got another one for ya ! ! This month's theme is easy peasy ..."LET'S PARTY".

We want to see your projects with celebration in mind.That's right whether it be a birthday,graduation,wedding,baby,or mother's day....well you see where I'm going with this.

Here's my birthday card...with a little rock 'n' roll feel.I used a Kraftin' Kimmie stamp.My patterned paper is from American Crafts.Gotta say I love how bright and cheery it is ! My ribbon  is was twill but I colored it with my copics.I know.... cool eh??

Creative Accents April Challenge

Good morning ladies.I hope your feeling inspired.Today the "seriously creative team" has created some fabulous projects to help you get motivated for the April challenge.Now we were given a photo and asked to create.

This is what I came with....oh before we get to that...silly me.How about I mention some prizes!?If you wanna see go and check out Creative Accents "NEW" Challenge blog.We wanted a place for you to go to and not only get inspired but hopefully enough to participate.Which leads me to the prize.The pic is posted their,while your there, check out Tara,Julie and Leslea's projects.

OK onto my project.....I used Fairy Kiki from Stampavie for my card.I colored her with copics and even added some stickles to her wings.The patterned paper is from Basic Grey's Kioshi line.Great for Easter,spring or even baby.

I bet you'd like to see what gave me this inspiration...here ya go.

For the love of Chocolate....

Here's a challenge you'll literally wanna sink your teeth in ! You must create a project that is completely chocolatey, or scrapbook something you LOVE using shades of brown on your project, maybe you'll personalize some chocolates for Valentine's gifts or go anti-Valentine's day and pro-chocolate.

The choice is yours- this challenge could take you anywhere, just make sure that wherever you go, there's CHOCOLATE with you (either the colour or the flavour)!

And this is what I came up with..

I used my High Hopes Monkey gripping that Chocolate Cupcake like his life depended on it!!LOL I'm sure at on point or time in our lives we all felt that way..hahaa.

ABC Challenge Blog Hop

Welcome to Creative Accents Fall Challenge/Blog Hop......

It looks like I'm the final stop to this Blog Hop.I hope you enjoyed all the FABULOUS creations made by Creative Accents DT.If this is your first stop,please start the hop here.

The challenge is pretty simple! Create any paper based project and include:

A- Alphabet (letters or words in any form)

B- Bling (pearls or gems and other blingy things)

C- Chipboard (letters, shapes, or whatever you've got in your stash)

So enough details ? Let's get on to my project...I created a Canvas project with a REALLY quick card.

So for my A-alphabet was ,well obviously,my words.lol.My B-bling,some Prima pearls and bling.For some extra bling I cut out the bird and leaves from some copper paper.Pretty eh?And finally for C-chipboard,the words FAMILY and BLESSINGS is painted chipboard.Some close-ups..

Those leaves are from QK,I embossed them too!

That cute little bird and cage is from Tim Holtz.LOVE ,LOVE IT ! !

As you can see there is some added "BLING".I covered my canvas with Glimmer Mist.Those flowers are from Prima.Gorgeous aren't they!!??The little card quote is from 7 Gypsies.

This is a border die cut from Quickutz.I added stickles..more bling!!

Creative Accents Challenge...and an appologie

Hi everyone,

I wanted to say I'm sorry for not posting for quite some time.I have started another job and with kids and all,it was a bit overwhelming.I've also been feeling a little burnt out.I was almost at that point of screaming if I saw another stamp or paper.So much was filling my head and I was starting to ooze! lol.So my appologies to those who have been faithfully checking up on me,looking for something ! !

So for my first post back,I wanted to show you was Creative Accents Challenge.

The details are quite simple,use these colors to create a project.Do go and check out some samples that Tara has created to inpire you!

So just under the wire this is what I(sneeked in) came up with..I have to admit my colors don't exactly match .lol.But I did use Blue,Green and Brown...heehee.

I finally had the opportuniy to use the new Tim Holtz Birdcage die .I cut both out of PP.The Bird is from Webster's Pages.The cage is from KaiserCraft.The background PP is from BasicGrey Kraft Basics,which I stamped with script by Hero Arts

I added a few Prima flowers .If you can see in this picture I then sprayed the entire card with Glimmer Mist.That's right ,that's what I said...lol.There's a little twinkle on the card.I hope you enjoyed,and hope you join in on the challenge.
