Fairy Garden Canvas

Ok today I am excited to share this.I have been in some sort off mojo rut.Cards just haven't been sparking any interest to me BUT I have found working with mixed media has really boosted my energy. I think about it non stop.I was able to attend a crop a few weeks back and got to play !! Get inky,sticky and full of paint lol !! FUN FUN !  

So I was able to meet the owner of Southern Ridge Trading Co , Karen ! What a sweetie and well enabler lol.... I was able to do some shopping for my all time favorite thing..CHIPBOARD . I found everything I needed and well a heck of  alot more !! Go check it out ( Happy Shopping)

This canvas is just a 6x6 size,I did it small,but kinda wishing I had done bigger,But I am happy with it. There is so much texture in this ..lots of stencils from TH and Memory Box ,texture paste,lace,doily,cheesecloth...spritzed all up.

That cute flourish and bird is from STC..

and so is this Fairy Garden sign !! OMGoodness adorable !! The stems came from blue Fern studios.The mushroom I believe came from fabscraps..don't quote me lol .The fence I have had for some time ,it's Maya road .

The Explore word is also STC ..I had finished this canvas but something was just bugging me about it..I needed a fairy ..so I went online and printed one out and set it on the word...I think she needed to be there.

Baby it's cold outside ...

One finally card to show ..the image is from Mo Manning..and quite frankly a fav of mine now . I can't believe that it took me so long to color her up but oh well ,she is now :)

Red & White wishes ...

Ooops missed posting these. I really think Santa needs to bring me a brain lol. Boy when there is too much info to remember .... well it`s overload happening right now.Trying to remember to get everything I need and want to do over the holidays . 

So today's batch of quickies are using the Tim Holtz poinsettia die again as well as his stencil Holiday words.I wish I had thought of using my holly stencil because it would have looked pretty too.I used  texture paste with the stencil ,it really gives it a nice effect . I also used his embossing stencil with the poinsettia die. As quick as this card looks to make it did take a bit of time lol.

The branch and star die is from Memory box.I actually borrowed from friends those dies..must get my own lol.

Some quickies ...

Hi I just wanted to post some quickies.With a lot of Xmas cards having to be made I really had to step back and make cards that didn't take so long to make.Cause well.... I think they never would have all been made lol. 

I did a couple sets ....first ones are using Whipper Snapper stamps and High Hopes stamps.Both quick and easy to color up. My background is using texture paste and stencil.I even sewed around the edges very haphazardly ....With some little added bling VOLIA !! 

This next set is great ..some patterned paper and dies and BANG very simple !

The mitten and sock dies are from Memory Box. The papers are from Bo Bunny and Bazzil.

Sentiments are from hero Art and Stampin Up. The embossed background is from TH words folder I believe ..don't quote me lol

It's the most wonderful time of the year....

Ok I'm back with another card that I have to say...loving this image.  It's from Kenny K . I wanted to focus on the girl more than the background so I kinda did a tone thing on the background.And went vibrant on her. It just made her pop.I'm loving this hot pink ...not your typical colors for Christmas.

My papers are from Bo Bunny's new Candy Cane lane collection. The flowers are from Prima ,WOC and the white poinsettia is from hero Arts I believe. I actually spritzed the poinsettia up with some glitter spray.

The mittens are a die from Memory Box .Snowflake chipboard is Kaisercraft and painted white with some pearl centers.

The cool border over the cheesecloth is from Blue Fern Studios chipboard..painted with picked raspberry distress paint.

Think Pink Wishes

Hi Hope you all had a great weekend ! It's time for a new challenge at High Hopes.This week we honor Breast Cancer Awareness. We want to see 

PINK 

I am using Frosty Snowman All done in pink.I went to town with my pink and well...glitter too.This card really sparkles lol

The silver background is from Stampin Up. The pink patterned is from Bo Bunny's new Candy Lane line. The trees are chipboard that I had painted and added a couple stamped images.They were coordinates with the sentiment.I wish I could remember the company but I don't have the package anymore.

These hanging snowflakes are a fav die of mine.They are from Memory Box's precious ornaments.

My image is on an embossed background.And all that glitter is from TH distress glitter.I can't tell you how much I love this stuff.It has such a twinkle to it.You will fall in love :)

Celebrate the Season

Well I am starting off today just great ...I'm sorry I'm late posting.I guess I still think it's Monday. It must be all the turkey that has my head fuzzy lol. This week's High Hopes challenge isn't about the turkey but rather anything !!

My card today is featuring Joey Snowy :)

I am drawing a complete blank on what paper I used ....hmmm  really bad turkey brain lol

I used the Memory Box snowflake die for around the image. And my trees from Dees Dies.

On each layer I added Alene's Faux Snow and top with distress glitter..I could not get a good picture of how glittery the trees are...IRL they are fab !! Not to mention I could not get a nice bight picture...forgive the darkness :)

Happy Birthday My Fabulous Friend Cheri

Today is my great friend Cheri's birthday ! Now I wasn't able to make a wonderful creation as she did for me .That is something I'm not on that level of lol But I did make her this card. I was looking for a stamp that was  friends together and found this ..cutie hey :)

My papers are from the new Bo Bunny Madeleine ..loving this collection.Very nice color line.

The Birthday flag and banner die is from La La Land crafts.

As you can see I need more practice on my hair...I just can't get it !!

Flowers are from WOC and Prima . It's hard to see but my flowers are all glitter.

And with all this bling I'd like to enter Tiddly Inks Challenge Make it Sparkle :) Even my buttons sparkle :)

Have your Elf a Merry little Christmas

This week I am using the image NO PEEKING ELVES and coordinating sentiment from the new release.You must check it out ,this is a fab new line :) You can find the new release here 

Ok So I went with the non traditional colors for this card.I don't know why it screamed it lol.

There is red and green in there but just a splash of pink heehee.

My papers are from Kaisercrafts Silly Season....see even the name suited this stamp lol . I decided to paper piece my image. Sure cuts down on coloring time :) The tag and arrow was part of the paper pack,great for coordinating embellishments 

I used  this precious ornament die from Memory Box cut from the patterned paper.

I of course added glitter everywhere ...well you know me haha

DREAM & JOURNEY

Hi today I am showing some mixed media work.I am loving working with this art lately. I love working with  gesso,paint ,and sprays...so much fun and easy to do.

First up is a canvas...in both projects I have used dies to cut out of card stock as well as chipboard.

Basically you start off priming your canvas with Gesso.A couple layers if your gesso is on the cheaper side.I then cut out all my designs. Gluing them down and covering them with gesso. I also layed down stencils using texture paste to give dimension.Once you have your layout you then can start spraying...Once I was happy with that I took paint and dry brushed the tops to highlight the dies.And adding gems and pearls.

My second project is a journal that I altered using the similar technique as above.Although instead of paint to highlight I used Inkagold in silver.
