Today I am showing you a card I made for a girlfriend.It was her birthday and now that it is safe and sound in her hands, I can show you.The image is from Teddy Bo Stamps ,actually this is Teddy Bea.I fell in love with her and had these papers from Imaginisce in my head to match.

So many little details...Chipboard butterfly from Twiddly(somethin' lol) It was painted with Firebrick red distress stain then spritzed with Perfect Pearls.Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.Sentiment is from Lily of the Valley.Charm is from stash.And that heart in the corner is from D'arcie's acrylic charms which I used white distress stain.

Queen of Hearts

OK here's my attempt at a book card.It's a little time consuming but I think (still thinking) the end result is ok.I used the image from Saturated Canary called Queen of Hearts.She's just adorable.My papers are from Echo Park . Love this line....

A little bit of details on embellishments...The hinges are Tim Holtz grungeboard, flowers assorted from Wild Orchid ,the hearts are from Quickutz die cut out of corrugated cardboard. I covered them with fire brick distress stain.I believe that cute little key is from Prima(I think lol) The feather I found in the dollar store.

inside of book card...some yummy chocolates..and on the other side is a tag with a sentiment from Stampendous. The inside I used a Martha Stewart border punch.

A close up hinges wrapping around...I used distress stain and rock candy on it.

Today we have a new challenge for you at High Hopes Challenges. I wanted to do a lovey dovey Valentine Challenge.So we want to see either a Valentine or showing some love on your project.

This is what I came up with...

Today my card features `Love Letter Monkey` I matched him up with the new Basic Grey line `Kissing

Booth`.This line is perfect if your not a lovey hearts kinda person.It can be used all year thru.The heart circle is from Spellbinders and the multiple hearts are from Lifestyle crafts.

Hello my blog friends.I must apologize for my lack of posting.My mojo has been lacking a lot. This past month has been busy ,stressful all that good life stuff gives you.Soooo anyhoo because of our cold weather..we've been down to -39,my internet has been down all week.

I wasn't able to post my card for High Hopes Challenge.The challenge is fitting... Winter Wonderland. I am using Dustin Pikes monkey,he's been out in the cold.LOL

I paired him up with the sentiment from Graphicat Designs," You're the Coolest"

I used Little Yellow Bicycles Winter Twig papers.Looove these papers.That cool snowflake embelly is from their collection as well.

Happy Winter Wishes

Well I hope all your holiday wishes came true. After having a couple of weeks of not being in my craft room,it's time to put my nose back to the grind. It's a new Year and a new challenge.

With that comes Something Old and Something New...that is our challenge this week at Scrap Creations

Now for my OLD I have used my High Hopes Stamp ,he's an oldie but a goodie.For my NEW I used the collection from Pink Paislee SNOW DAY.

I mounted my snowman onto a Maya Road Chipboard Doily.I first inked it with Rangers Snow cap paint then added Rock Candy.Once that was dry I used Tumbled Glass distress ink on it.For me that was a new technique,may be old for others.LOL.

I also used Rangers Snow Cap Paint along the edges of my papers.It's not a great pic but hopefully you can see well enough.The ribbon is from my OLD stash and the snowflake ribbon is from my new stash.

So as I said in the beginning A new year comes with change.At Scrap Creations we say goodbye to old and hello to new. We have 2 DT members leaving us,we say farewell to Jackie and Frances.We wish them well and thank them for all their great works of art!!You will be missed!

Snowflakes a Fallin'

Today at Scrap-Creations our theme is

FIRST SNOW.

Although it has not been my first snowfall here in Canada,it has been a slow one.Usually we have a fair bit of snow at this time of year.But I fear not,because it looks like January is supposed to be our big month of snow ! Uggh out comes the backhoe!!

So onto my card...I was inspired by Tosh's card made last year.So I cased it..well hers is MUCH better.That girl has a style that ONLY she can do!!LOL But I thank her for inspiring me.

I embossed the background with a Cuttlebug folder.The blue round paper is from Tim Holtz,which I embossed with his snowflake stamp in white.I added a acetate snowflake and some bling.Wouldn't be complete without,lol.

Ok I`m sliding this one in just in time I hope.Over at Kenny K Challenges is to use Texture.I use Mrs.Claus for this card.Now this sucker took me foreeever to make.Nothing seemed to go right for me.But here she is.My texture is the liquid applique and glitter if that counts ?

Some close ups..I made a side step card.This one is a 6x6 card.Love the white tress I gotta say.The more I kept looking at this I kept going "D'oh I should have put this on or add this" Oh well the pics taken so no Changesy!!

It's really hard to see the snowflake covered in glitter,but it's prettier in RL.

It's all about the presents this week at Scrap-Creations.We want to see your creations that uses a present on it or could even be a present. Today I used a Whipper Snapper stamp.What a cute pair ! ! I also played with Kaisercraft paper "Silly Season". Love the Hot pink,lime green and Red??I know, but it works.

I made a present as the background for the pair.I added a little star tag hanging off it. Behind the gift is the largest snowflake from Spellbinders which I covered in stickles.The border punch is from Lifestyle Crafts Gift set .It has 7 dies in it ! ! Check it out here.

I am hoping you all don't see my booboo.(hint-green bum)LOL.Really need to look better when coloring!

It's starting to feel a lot like Christmas...OK so Santa's may be doing well but I am not.I am so far behind on my Christmas cards.I always aim to be done by Dec 1st ,haahaaa ,not happening AGAIN this year ! !

So a little details about my card...This cute little elf by Mo Manning /Penny Black.If you did not know ,Penny Black now has Mo Manning images in clear stamps.

I used papers from Little Yellow Bicycle.I am a big fan of plaid,in all colors.LOL

I added some flowers and bling.Those cute little charms were silver but I used alcohol inks on them to change their colors.

Here's a close up of the image.. I really tried to color the ball to look more gold than yellow....not much success.LOL

Today is my nephews 6th Birthday,so I stepped away from my Xmas cards to make his.This adorable little "dude" dragon is from High Hopes Stamps .Our challenge over at High Hopes Challenge is to use NUMBERS.

Now you can use numbers a multiple of ways...on your paper,chipboard embellishment,stickers..oh so much more.Our DT has amazing inspiration to help get you going...do go check it out.

As you can see I used a THICKERS number sticker onto my embellishment.I also covered in stickles to give it a little somethin'. My Papers are from Echo Park,I wanna say Summer Days,not sure though.LOL

Snowfall Friends

I gotta say I just Loooove Whipper Snapper.This image just sucked me in.You can find it and my card at Creative Accents. I also love this paper line from Bo Bunny. Yep gonna be using it a lot.Browns and Blues...one of my favorite color combos.

I colored up this pair with copics...my one and only coloring medium ! LOL.There's no other way to go ..for me that is...I have tried many others and this has been the best investment for me.That's what i keep telling my husband..an investment hun ! ! I do use them continuously ,they don't sit on the shelf begging for attention.They are not just for coloring images but you can color gems,flowers and much more!...ok enough sales! LOL

Yes I have said this time and time again..he's one of my favorite monkeys.Can't help myself. LOL

He's from High Hopes Stamps.I teamed him up with Authentique's papers.These are sooo not Christmas or snow papers but I think it worked. I just love the blue and brown combo. I promise to use some other colors.

I also used High Hopes mitten border stamp in the corner.They are so quick to color and easy to cut out.I bought these cute clothespins and just had to hang those mittens. Those cute wood snowflakes were covered in Picket Fence distress stain and the spritz with a blue Smooch Spray.

Hello hope everyone is having a nice Sunday..mine has been quite lazy actually.Regretting it though,when there's sooo much to do.Anyhoo here's a card I forgot to post awhile back...it was for a friend and my favorite fan ! ! It was her birthday.I admire Teddy Bo images so much,yep I'm a sucker for cute.And these are soooo cute.You'll be seeing more of these in the future.

Today I used this cute elephant.Now I have to admit I started to color the wings,which I thought were ears.As I was coloring and looked and thought to myself....6 ears what the heck?? LOL So I corrected my confusion...much better ! !Still kinda giggling.

Hi sorry I've been away for a few days...but I have cards to show you this week.Today I'm showing you a Birthday card that I made for my husband's friend.They have this very smirky and smart-ass relationship.So I used Simply Betty's stamp and teamed it up with some sentiments from Hero Arts and Graphicat Designs.

I just love the look on this guys face...

Looks real excited eh?...bahaahaaa

Now I have been playing a lot with Twiddleybits chipboard.This time I inked up these gears with Metallic ink and then I used Ultra thick embossing powder...BUT look at the effect it did.I sooo did not plan that but holy smackers is it ever cool ! ! ! !

Good morning ...This week at Scrap-Creations we are going sentimental.

We want to see SENTIMENTS as your main focus on your card.

My card definitely a sentimental card as it is a sympathy card .My Aunt passed away a couple of days ago so I've been trying (and I stress that) to make my family cards.It has been a lot more difficult that I had anticipated. I've never been a fan of making these cards but even more now.

On my card..a few details...papers and sentiment are from Kaisercraft. The swirl chipboard and butterfly is from Twiddly?? something.Sorry can't remember as I'm typing.I inked and spritzed them up. I wanted this card to be that simple and elegant type.

A Special day..

This is the birthday card I made for my sister.I was able to play with the new Authentique papers.I just love these blue tones,and combined with brown...in love ! ! Really like how good quality papers they are.I'm finicky when it comes to the thickness of paper.

Anyhow,as you can see I used a Magnolia image. I added some flowers and ribbon,which is new at Creative Accents.They got a boat load of new ribbon(actually they always have new stuff arriving-hard on the bank account,lol)I also added a butterfly form my stash and some die cut butterflies as well.It's hard to see but each layer has glitter as well as the butterfly.Oh and my flourishes...

Grrr I was supposed to post a couple of days ago but the card I had made ,my daughter spilled her juice on it.Sooo I had to make another.I haven't been feeling well,darn flu.So this card is very simple and quick to do but effective.Gotta love those cards,instead of my typical 2-3 hours.I used Mojo Mondays sketch.

The image I used is Santa Moon.My papers are from SEI.This pad has some versatile looks.

My Ho Ho Ho's and Season's Greetings are from Hero Arts.

Well I think this is probably my last Halloween card.But when I saw this stamp in at Creative Accents by Whipper Snapper ...I HAD to have it.Way too cute ! ! I teamed it up with Graphicat Sketches Challenge for this month...which by the way ,you still have time to enter.I tweaked the sketch and flipped it on it's side.I just love all the layers.

I used papers from We R memory keepers and used the fab sentiment already in the pad.I couldn't believe it when I saw this little poem diddy and how it matched this stamp.

OK I'm starting to get into the mood to make Xmas cards.Pretty much only because I don't wanna be scrambling to be making cards at the last minute.Christmas always seems to sneak up rather quickly.So I am going to slowly but surely start on my stash.

For this card I used the good old Magnolia snowman.Always will be a fav of mine.

Nothing screams purty like some sparkle! ! I cut out some double sided chipboard stars from QK and adhered some glitter ritz.LOOOVE this ! !The border punch is from Martha Stewart,lace.

Hello...Hope your weekend was good.I was able to take my girls and nephews to an event called The Pumpkin Patch.Such a fabulous idea.It had great photo ops and the kids got to pick a pumpkin.Entry was by donation and all the money went to our local literacy program.And as a added bonus the weather was perfect.

So onto Scrap Creations challenge theme this week....use Digital Image and/or Paper.

And for this week Kristen is hosting the prize of a $10.00 GC. Commentors that leave their TOP 3 favorite DIGI companies( Their Favorite must be their #1) Next Monday Kristen will randomly pick one commentor and giveaway a $10.00 GC to their favorite Digi company. How sweet is that.??

Hello..first my apologies for the lousy picture.My pinks look red and it's a bit fuzzy.Not sure what my camera was doing but cooperating wasn't it.Today's challenge at High Hopes is

Today on my card I used this cute Polar Bear and penguin pair.If you don't want to spend a whole lot of time coloring ,this is the perfect stamp.And you can match it with ANY paper.I used Echo Park's Xmas pad.Lots of fun colors to work with.Now for the challenge I used ribbon.Creative Accents got in this cool corduroy ribbon.Love it ! Gonna have to get me some more.

Ok So I am soooo late posting this,although it was received on time to the recipient.LOL.Which is usually always the other way around.This was for my dear friend Cheri...well and my boss.Here's her birthday card.She liked it,thank goodness.

You always cringe making cards for friends,You want them to be perfect,but also the fact that she's in the "industry".They are the ones to notice ANY flaw so ,sweating bullets was a happening! LOL

So,have you had a chance to enter into High Hopes Challenge yet.If not hop on over and check it out ! ! Last week High Hopes had a sale on some fall stamps.This fella was one.He seemed perfect for my girlfriends man who retired.Too young I'd say...lol.

He's been"farming".They live down south in the nice warm weather,so he's been planting more fruit trees to their yard .So he's kinda fruit farming to spend his time away.

I used some old but good Basic Grey papers,Papyrus.The sentiment I just printed up on the computer.Some distressing and some twine..that's about it,for a man's card.

Just a quick post...I swear somedays I should just go with being behind instead of trying not to be!!Anyhoo,I'm just sneaking this one in for Magnolia Down Under Challenges.Thank goodness CLP Challenges last all month,more liking to my schedule! So I used CLP's sketch and theme over at MDUC is Halloween.

Close up of the web stamp from Magnolia...and of the flowers and ribbon,which I aadhered to the edge of the paper then took a heat gun to it to give that distressed look.

Hello...I hope everyone had a great weekend.Here in Canada was Thanksgiving weekend.I was able to spend some time with ALL of my family yesterday.My girls all had plans, two were out of town,one for a Avril Lavigne concert and the other at a volleyball tournament.My youngest was at a sleepover ,horseback riding and having all kinds of fun. But we were able to all be together for yummy turkey dinner ! !

But just around the corner is Halloween...so at Scrap-Creations our theme of course is

HALLOWEEN

So let's see all those fabulous and spooky creations.I LOOOOVE Halloween ! !

For some of you...it's definitely feeling like fall around here.This is my FAVORITE season.I love the fresh cool air.The colors in the leaves...it's just a beautiful season.Oh and hey who can forget the kids in school.LOL.Of course that tends to also bring the flu bug in the house.Which has been hitting this house quite nicely.LOL.

Today at High Hopes is Challenge day.The theme is "PARTY FAVOR" We would like to see you put your party hat on and make something creative as a party favor.The team has been featuring a Halloween theme for this challenge but you can go any theme.

My daughter helped me make this ...very quick and simple especially if you need to make a lot of them and your child could help.My daughter did a little coloring and added some stickles to the pencil topper.Tied some ribbon around the bag filled with candy and voila.You could go more elaborate but I think kids just tend to rip off whatever to get to the candy ! ! !

Now as a different theme I decorated this cute little pad.You kind find them at a dollar store or I found mine in the bargain bin at Micheal's quite some time ago for a $1-

The possibilities are endless for themes...let's see what you come up with!!

It is the first of the month again!

That means it's time for another Monthly Special.

The first week of each month, High Hopes has a special sale on certain stamps.

Every year we stock up on fresh peaches and cream corn to freeze, Zucchini to make into loaves of bread to freeze, and Blueberries, Apples and Peaches to can. Canning the fruits, and making and canning homemade salsa is a fall tradition that our family has had for years. We also love to go to the Fairs to see what other folks are making, and baking!

Girls Can't what??

I made this card for a girlfriend and now that I know she has it,I can now show you.She is a big fan of Steampunk,so when I saw this Kenny K image.I knew it was perfect.

This image took me forever to color.Well because I accidentally made it so large.After starting to color,it was then that I decided to just go for the top portion of the image.lol. I then surounded the image with the Gears Spellbinders. That fabulous sentiment is from Graphicat Designs.The papers are from Graphic 45 Steampunk collection.

Here's some close ups....Oh and I added some glitter from Stampendous.

I cut out some more smaller gears out of grungeboard.I used distress stain(vintage photo)and then sprayed with Perfect Pearls mists(bronze).

Today at High Hopes Blog ,We are showcasing some ideas for around the house.I made a table setting that's great for winter.All my images are from the new release.I went with your non typical colors browns and blues.....

Here is a close up of the sour cream container that can be filled with candies or treats for your guests.I used the mitten border and some coredinations cardstock embossed with a snowflake folder.

Next up is the place card,I used the snowflake border again for the background.

This is the front of the menu....love that snowman!!

Inside of the menu,I meant to print out a sample menu on some vellum to

place over

the snowman image.

And finally this is the napkin ring.I actually didn't use the entire image .Less coloring to do if you have a lot of guests.lol.

Yeah Day 2 of High Hopes Sneak Peeks...I am showcasing this adorable snowman.I am actually quite fond of this fella.I went for a completley different look for a Xmas cards.I thought I would play with these colors.I love the yellows,browns,and blues.

The paper is from MME called "Sunshine" It's kinda vintage eh? I couldn't help myself and add this cute chipboard lamp post from Twiddlybits.They are at Creative Accents right now.Go and get em' quick cause they may not last.lol.

Here's a closeup of the lamp post.I used Vintage photo distress stains and distress ink as well.Then I took Sunflower Perfect pearls mist and gave it a spray.

Well The first day of school has happened.It was a weird feeling seeing them head off but mind you ,a good one! I can't believe my oldest is graduating this year..my middle is in Grade 10 and the youngest is in grade 3 already.Where does the time go..it obviously passes me while I'm in my craft room.LOL

So anyhow I wanted to show you some cards I made awhile ago but forgot to post.It's kinda nice to have something to post when you don't have anything else made.lol.

This first card is a Whipper Snapper image as is the sentiment.The second card is a Kraftin`Kimmie Image.If you like what you see,you can find these cards and stamps at Creative Accents.

First off my apologies for my lack of posting.Between getting ready for the kids to go back to school and all,it's been busy.I also received a new laptop from my husband,so trying to get all the files and what have ya transfered over has been fun.I hope this will solve MOST of my issues. I've also had this awful stomach flu bug for the last week.But I'm feeling better and even farther behind in my schedule.LOL.So.......

The papers are from Kaisercraft "Velvet" and that filmstrip die is from MFT.I added some stickers to it.That's about it...below is the skecth I used..feel free to use it.

Here is my layout....

The sentiment is a Tim Holtz stamp and the charm is from Making Memories

I have used papers from Prima..love this collection.I distressed the edges of my layout but insteads of using ink I used paint dabbers.The flourish,dragonfly and title are chipboard pieces.

I painted my chipboard and used my finger to take some "smooch" to cover it over giving it the distressed look.

As you can see I didn't have enough alphabet pieces to complete my word,so I improvised,cut out the letter E,emphasizing it,spelling my daughters name EMMA.

That's about all..I hope you can join us.It's all month long ,so you have plenty of time to join us

,maybe even more than once :)

Welcome Tuesday..Only 1 more week and the girls are off to school ! ! Yipppeeee!! So excited.I enjoy when the girls are out of school to spend time with them but two months is a bit long for me LOL.So onto this week's challenge at Scrap-Creations.We would like to see you

Decorate the inside of your cards.

If your like me it's an accomplishment just finish the front.LOL.But I have been making myself do it.Now it's actually quite easy really,just use your leftover scraps.You don't have to go overboard.

But I'll show you the front first..I used a stamp from Wee Stamps.This little fellow has been tugging at my heart strings for awhile.

I used this adorable squirrel. My papers are from Kaiser Craft Velvet.

I got these papers at Creative Accents.As do a lot of my supplies.LOL.I'm looking forward to getting my hands on some yummy Bo Bunny Fall papers as well.They will be arriving any day now.Yippee ! ! I also used the sketch over at Mojo Monday.Fun one I must say.

It's that time...Countdown to school ! ! Well maybe for me.LOL.My girls go back to school in two weeks.I know when it comes time,I know I'll miss them.But they are getting very antsy to get back.I'm lucky,my girls love school.

So it's perfect for our challenge at Scrap-Creations to be

" BACK TO SCHOOL"

For my project I decided to make bookmarks .My kids all love to read.Always have.My middle daughter is a little more obsessed with reading.I say this because she can read multiple books at a time and read rather fast.

In school last year,they have an Accelerated Readers program.You are required to read and do a report on 7 books by the end of the school year.Well she did that..actually she did 52 ! ! She received an award for it.Not only did she surpass her grade but ALL grades in the High School.She even received a GC for the local bookstore.Thank goodnesss, cause I can hardly keep up with buying her books.LOL.

It's a heat wave...finally!

Boy has this summer gone by quickly.This month's challenge over at Creative Accents is

"Use Your Stash".

How hard is that...I KNOW you have something you haven't used in a long time or even seen ink yet.LOL.

I finally got to ink up this cute House Mouse stamp.I'm sure I have the matching sentiment "You blow me away", just not sure where it is.LOL.So I used a Kraftin'Kimmie one instead. I also dragged out my Basic Grey Hello Luscious paper.I cannot believe I hadn't used this yet! I added some Prima flowers that I've had foreeeever.

I'm also entering this into the following challenges:

-Basic Grey Challenges(Anything Goes)

-Raise the Bar(Beat the Heat..use anything used to beat the heat.

They suggested ice cream,popsicle but if a fan don't beat the heat I don't know what would LOL)

Hi everyone..Sorry I'm behind schedule today.It's my daughter's birthday today..Wow time flies!

15 years old ! !They are aging me so fast ! Happy Birthday Amy !

This last week has been so hectic around my house...Actually really this whole summer has been.Anyhoo.I'm sure it'll settle down once the kids go back to school here in a few weeks.LOL.who we kiddin' it won't !!

Anyway on to my card...Today at Scrap- Creations we have a sketch for you to play with.

Now we are using images from Happileigh Scrappin.I am using Jenny on her swing.

I believe the paper is from Crate Paper.LOL.Can't quite remember..lol.

As promised ,I'm back with a project for the Mother & Daughter Chop 4 a Cause.

For more info on this go here.I made this canvas using Graphicat Designs sentiment.If you like this sentiment or the other one,head on over and grab it.All proceeds will go to this cause.

Here are some close ups..as you can see I focused on one frog with a frame.I added some glitter to the frog to highlight him even more.

This next pic I wanted to show you all the dots that I use glossy accents on.Yep I dotted them all.

As you can see I kept this canvas quite simple,using my paper to focus on.Only adding a few embellies.Oh and the image is from Stamping Bella-MoManning image.

Hi there...Sorry I almost forgot to post this today.My head is in a cloud !

Today at Scrap-Creations we're playing B I N G O

For those who are not familiar with this...simply you pick a line on this Bingo card(see below)

and use those items on your project.

For my card I went with GLITTER,FLOWERS & RIBBON.

Actually I could even go Flowers,Die cuts(ticket) and Digi Image.LOL.Apparently I was going for a full card.Haahaa.

So I finally got to play with Glubers from Cosmo Cricket.What's this you ask??Well I think of it as a GIANT glue dot.I took my ribbon and just kept going in a circle creating my flower.Love this!!

You could do so many things with it.I also gave the ribbon a shot from my heat gun to give it that crinkly look.

So onto the rest of my card,the image is from Paper Shelter...love this cutie.Sooo much fun to color.Honestly I could not get a very good pic,it is much brighter in real life.

Close up-If you click to make bigger you'll see all the glitter everywhere.It's on the edges of my layers,the balls,the flowers,the ribbon.....oh I went glitter crazy!

I came up with this one...Been There..Slain that.I just wrote it myself.It probably would have looked better had I typed it up on the computer.LOL.

Close up...Those stars are die cut from grungeboard.I used distress stain,distress ink and

crackle accents on them.Little heavy on the Tim products ! !Heehee.

Hi Just a quick post....I made another wedding card.This card I used Mojo Monday's sketch.Love this one.It was a fun one,think I'll use it again.I used some papers from SEI and KaiserCraft.

Now here's the cool thing,the blue paper is actually white with foil.I used Broken China Distress stain on it.The foil part of the paper resisted the ink.SOOOO COOL ! ! I added some ribbon and flowers,that about it.Oh and the image is from Just Inklined.

Today I made this cute little gift box using a Dustin Monkey.I can't remember his name for the life of me.

I thought I could use this little gift box for little socks or travel size lotions and what have ya.It actually matches the baby I card I made awhile back.

Hello everybody ! I'm sooo excited to show you this card.

This week over at Scrap-Creations our theme is

FAVORITE HOLIDAY

Now the reason I like this challenge is because my fav is Halloween.It's so much fun,although I like the cute spooky not so much creepy.I'm not a fan of spiders and such. I could climb walls literally if I'd seen a spider.LOL.

Now my card features images from Just Inklined.I just loved that coffin and that bat made me giggle.

I used this week's skecth from Sketch N Stash Challenge.I tweeked a little. :)

My papers are from Basic Grey's Erie Collection from last year.I'm waiting sooo patiently for all the new releases.There is so many that I liked.Echo Park and Pink Paislee were my top two.
