Kenny K Christmas and a little tune

Just a quick post...This will be my last Christmas card of the year.I had more but forgot to take pics before I gave them away.D'OH!!So I hoped you enjoyed them.

I would imagine you are all doing that last minute preparation for Christmas.I'm frantically trying to get all that I "wanted" to get done.Although I don't think it may happen. My daughter's birthday is Xmas eve and like tradition we will be having a birthday bash. It's weird to do one day birthday and Xmas the next. But I try to make sure that every year we emphasize her day ! ! !
Onto my card,it's a Kenny K image ,she's doing her last minute shopping. She looks a little too happy to be doing that !!LOL.The papers are from Kaiser Kraft.I colored her up with my copics and added some florals and embellishes and TA DA. Enjoy........

So wishing you all a very  Merry Christmas.     Here's a little tune   ,one of my FAVS!! My other fav is Santa Baby.......Tell me What's yours????

How rude! !

OK How rude!!?!!?!!I don't know if I'm actually allowed to share this but I found it appalling and sad..This was from A Dear Abby article:...........

DEAR ABBY: Five years ago, when my niece was 9, we came up with the idea of making Christmas cards and sending them out to special friends and family members. We both work hard to make sure each is attractive and in good taste, and we handwrite a personal note inside. We also print on the back that the card was "handmade with love." This has become a tradition for the two of us, and the cards are quite beautiful.

Last year, after we sent them out, I received a card from a friend with a small check inside. The card read, "I'm sending you this check so you can afford to buy 'real cards' next year." I was, to say the least, hurt and offended. I wondered if others felt similarly, so I asked around and was shocked to learn they, too, thought I was "cheap." Although it cost more money and time to create each card, no one appreciated them.

We won't be making the cards this year, but how do I tell my niece why? I don't want her feelings hurt, too. -- BLUE AT CHRISTMAS

DEAR BLUE: Tell your niece what you were told -- and by whom -- so she won't waste any more effort on these rude and unappreciative individuals. Better she hear it from you than one of the recipients.

As to the "friend" who sent the check, I hope you returned it and deleted her from your Christmas card list. What she did was uncalled for.

Ribbit Ribbit Ribbit(HO HO HO)

Heeheee That's frog language for HoHoHo.I'm using a Dustin Pike image for my Xmas card here today.
I just LOVE his work!!His images are so much fun!Now I know you don't normally see a frog coming out of a PINK present.Wait you don't normally see frogs coming out of presents at all, unless you have a boy in the household maybe???Anyway I know it's not very boyish but then again I never really stick with normal. So I'm entering my card into Sketch Saturday as well as A Spoonful of Sugar.

Close up view of frog which I never intended to make ALL glossy (just his eyes) but when a GIANT blob comes out you must adjust!!
Enjoy!!TTYL

High Hopes Xmas Break

Welcome...
The DT has taken some time off to spend the holidays with family and friends. So no challenge this week, but rather Challenge # 99 "Party Animal" is being held over until Jan 10,2011.But some of us are a little too excited over the newest release that we are gonna keep making samples.

It's an addiction I know. But there are some really cute images to play with ...like this bunny. He's sending some love. He'd make a cute spring or Easter card. You could even go Valentines Day too.

Hope you like..TTYL

Snow Buddies

Happy Monday ! ! ! Pffft...yeah right??Who really likes Monday ! ! I'm like Garfield,not a Monday fan! !
Although the kids are off to school.....Poor teachers ! !Anyhoo onto my card,I haven't made a card for Stamptacular Sunday for some time.I thought it was time. And while I'm at it,I'm adding this card into Simon Says Challenge.
So Stamptacular's theme this week is "WINTER WISHES". How fun is that ? ? And Simon Says Stamps challenge was Christmas cards but "NO RED OR GREEN".Now I do like to do colors so opposite of red and green for Christmas anyhow. But for some reason my head kept going to red and green! !These little fellas help me get out of that! They are from High Hopes Rubber Stamps.I used Bo Bunny's Midnight frost for the patterned paper.I also used Maya Road chipboard.I love this stuff. It comes in all kinds of shapes and even mini..great for card makers!

Hope you enjoyed...see ya tommorow!

Tim Holtz Reindeer

So I have been itching to use the new Tim Holtz's Deers as soon as I saw them. They are so beautiful!!I had so many ideas popping into my head. What I ended up doing was cutting them out of his grunge board. Then I embossed with his swirl folders. It really does look even more pretty in person. The detail is stunning.I covered the deer with Inka gold gloss paint. The patterned paper is from Kaiserkraft.
I must give credit where credit is due....Thank you Janet (well her husband as well)for making the ribbon tier. Before this handy little tool I couldn't tie a bow if my life depended on it!!I love how I can add several layers to a bow(top of the ornament) just by going around the pole a few more times. You can find a tutorial on her sidebar of bow tying.

Close up of embossed grunge board.

Welcome to the Northpole

I fell in love with this Santa from Close to my Heart as soon as I saw him.He was so much fun to use.And when I saw the Northpole stamp from Inkadinkado it was perfect. So I took the sign and put it onto a mini Popsicle stick.
The Patterned paper is from Figgy Pudding by Basic Grey. It's an older line but a fave of mine.Actually I have a hard time not liking anything from Basic Grey.
I added liquid applique to Santa's hat and jacket.I flocked his beard and hair.I added stickles to the icicles hanging from the sign.
                                                                     Close up views...

Hope you enjoyed. Thanks for popping by..
